As an avid foodie, in order to having satisfying cuisine wherever I travel in the world, I am always learning new recipes listed as below. Everyone is welcome to try my home cooking:)

Reformed Hambagu (ハンバーグ, 汉堡排)

Integrated ground pork and beef, combined with finely chopped onions and mashed potatoes, seasoned with salt, black pepper, soy sauce, and oyster sauce, and pan-fried until just lightly charred. This is my most highly recommended food, as its high degree of customizability allows it to cater to the dietary preferences (non-spicy, pork-free, etc.) of friends from diverse regions.

Dry Chili Chicken (辣子鸡)

Boneless chicken thigh, cut into pieces, marinated with egg, salt, and cooking wine, then deep-fried to a golden crisp, and stir-fried with specially prepared dried chili peppers and a savory sauce.

May 3th 2026: Frying can be replaced by oven baking, and eggs can be substituted with corn-starch for a healthier alternative. After preheating the oven (usually 10 minutes), bake at 200°C for 15–20 minutes, then flip the chicken as needed and continue baking for another 15–20 minutes, until the surface turns golden brown. The cooked chicken pieces can be frozen for later use.

May 4th 2026: Prepare the sauce using soy sauce, oyster sauce, and white sugar, and adjust the saltiness with an appropriate amount of salt. Dried chili peppers should be used sparingly, just enough to release their aromatic flavor when sautéed. Other spices such as star anise (八角), cinnamon (桂皮), and bay leaves (香叶) may be added as needed.

Steamed Pork with Rice Powder (粉蒸肉)

Made by coating marinated pork slices in seasoned rice flour, then steaming until tender. It is fragrant, flavorful, and often paired with sweet potatoes or pumpkin, making it a comforting home-style delicacy.

To be updated: Classic seasoned rice flour might be substituted with foxtail millet (小米). In Trento, I was unable to find the classic seasoned rice flour, but I did find rice powder and millet; perhaps a mixture of these two can serve as a replacement. Progress will be updated after experimentation.

Jiaozi (饺子)

A traditional delicacy from northern China, prepared by mixing dry flour with water to form a dough for making dumpling wrappers. Suitable ingredients are finely chopped, seasoned, and thoroughly mixed to create the dumpling filling. Everyone can participate making dumplings and enjoy creating food.
